Structure of groups
Groups function as independent organizational units below the association.
Groups consist of:
- A group image
- Members
- Leaders
- Secretaries
To better structure the members within a group, you can assign freely selectable tags to members. These tags are used for grouped display in appointments to provide a better overview.
ATTENTION: Tags are not sections and only serve for grouping in the display. Tags can be changed or deleted at any time.
Create group
To create a new group, follow these steps:

Go to the Association overview and select your association.

In the association details, go to the Groups section to get an overview of your groups. Click the + button to create a new group.

Groups can be created under the association similar to sections. A group has a group image, a name, and a freely selectable number of members.
Create groupWhen creating a group, tags can be assigned to members. This step is optional and therefore not mandatory to create and use the group.
The member tags can also be edited at any time after the group has been created. You can find more information under the section Manage tags for members.
Add members to existing groups
If a group already exists, it can be expanded with additional members at any time.
To add members to the group, follow these steps:

In the association details, go to the Groups section and select the corresponding group.

The group details will open. In the Members section you can see the current members of the group. If you press the + button, you can add more members to the group.

All association members who are not already assigned to the group are available for selection. Select the members you want to add and then click the Add button at the top right.

Manage tags for members
Tags serve for grouping in the display. They are not sections.

In the Members section within the group, you can switch between
- a simple member list where the tags are listed for each member
- a member view grouped by tags
using two buttons at the top right.
Edit tags of members
The tags of members within the group can be changed, added, or removed at any time.
Add tags
To edit the tags of a member, follow these steps:
- Select the Members section within the group details.
- Click on the member to open the editing view.

Click in the Add tag field there.

A dialog for adding tags will open. You can now enter a new tag in the Enter tag field and add it via the + button that appears during input. If there are already Available tags, you can simply select from them.
Once you have selected all the required tags, add them to the member by clicking Assign.

The selected tags have now been added to the member. Click Save at the top right to apply the changes.

Remove tag
To remove tags from a member, follow these steps:
- Select the Members section within the group details.
- Click on the member to open the editing view.

To remove an existing tag, use the x symbol next to the tag.

Remove group members
You can also remove members from groups. They will still remain a member of the association afterwards and can be assigned to the group again.
To remove a member, follow these steps:
- Select the Members section within the group details.
- Click on the member to open the editing view.

Click the Remove member from group button there and answer the confirmation prompt with Yes to remove the member from the group.

By removing from the group, the member will also be removed from future appointments that have already been created for this group.
