Each association has exactly one administrator assigned. According to the Konzertmeister terms of use, this person is the main contact for the members of the association and responsible for the data entered.

Initially, the creator of the association is also registered as administrator. However, this assignment can be changed and transferred to another member with a leader role at the association level. The proposed member must actively accept the takeover of the administrator role before the change becomes valid.

Effects on a running subscription

Since the administrator is also the only member authorized to purchase a subscription, they are also the contractual partner for the subscription on behalf of the association. If the administrator is changed, the contractual partner changes.

For an already existing subscription, the designated (new) administrator has the following options when taking over the administrator role:

  • Keep existing subscription

    The subscription continues normally and is automatically renewed. However, the existing subscription can of course be manually changed or canceled at any time after taking over the administrator role.

  • Cancel existing subscription

    The subscription continues normally until its end, but will not be automatically renewed. A renewal must then be actively carried out by the new association administrator through a new order.

Effects on connected associations

Is the association for which the administrator is to be changed a main association with subordinate connected associations? Is the association for which the administrator is to be changed connected to a main association?

If one of the two cases applies, the following effects must be considered:

  • Change of administrator in a main association to which subordinate associations are connected

    If the administrator of a main association changes, all connected associations will be separated from it and switch to the Basic subscription. The reason for this is the no longer met requirements for using a shared subscription (same administrator in all associations - see also Requirements).

    To reconnect the subordinate associations with the main association, the administrator in all subordinate associations must first be changed to the administrator of the main association, and then a connection request must be sent again (see Use multiple orchestras of an association with a single subscription).

  • Change of administrator in a subordinate association connected to a main association

    If the administrator of a subordinate connected association changes, it will be separated from the main association and switch to the Basic subscription. The reason for this is the no longer met requirements for using a shared subscription (same administrator in all associations - see also Requirements).

    To reconnect the subordinate association with the main association, the administrator of the main association must be identical to the administrator of the subordinate association to be connected. Then a connection request can be sent again (see Use multiple orchestras of an association with a single subscription).

Transfer of administrator role

Any member with a leader role at the association level can perform a change of administrator.

Below is the process for changing the administrator in the association:

  1. Open association settings

    Open the association details and go to Edit (in Android the pencil icon).

  2. Propose new administrator

    Click on the current Admin and select a new administrator from the list of leaders. Then click Save changes.

  3. Wait for response from proposed administrator

    The proposed administrator receives a notification that they have been proposed. They now have the following response options:

    • Request is accepted

      If the proposed administrator accepts the request, they become the administrator of the association with immediate effect.

      For an existing Pro subscription, you can choose when accepting the administrator role whether it should be continued or automatically canceled (see the section above Effects on a running subscription).

      The new association administrator has the option to order, change, and cancel a subscription after acceptance.

    • Request is not accepted

      If the request is rejected, the existing administrator remains in their role for the time being and the request is deleted.
